➡️Last week, during a communication skills seminar I hosted at the European Academy Berlin for women activists, a woman from France asked me:

"It's so frustrating to see how we seem to be moving backwards on women representation in Europe, on women being heard, in women's voices being taken seriously in the public space.

How can we keep going, how can we keep up our spirits - when it's seems such a difficult time and such a long way forward?"

Here's what I replied:

"You are right. We cannot always be strong and positive. And that's ok.

Especially when times get tough, especially in those moments, we need to hear those strong voices who get us back up: beacons of light who give us energy back, who remind us of our power, who shine forward for us. 🔦

And let us remember: next time, when you will have your energy back, you may be that beacon of light for someone else. You will be the one giving hope - because you spoke up. You stood in your power."

This is how we keep going - giving back and forth, when we can 🙌

👉Today I invite you to remind yourself of the impact you may have already had on someone else this year:

✨ How much you may already be a heroine for someone else, without even knowing, just by being "you", in your authentic power, in your style.

✨ How much you have given hope and comfort to someone else around you, just by saying your truth.

✨ How many ripple effects you may have created - imagine how that other person may since then have been shining her own light forward and given energy to yet another person...

🇺🇸👉We are seeing it right now in the U.S. election campaign - the waves of energy that can go through an entire country, even beyond its borders, when one woman speaks up in her authentic power.

🎤This is also what I said in an interview I gave to the Spanish news agency EuroEFE this summer:

✍️The journalist wrote an article about the lack of women in the next European Commission's top posts. I said that we need to remember the enormous potential that will unfold when one more woman is visible in a top position - how many more in our society will feel "normal" to be seen, represented and inspired to be in their power, too 💪

"The women empowerment misunderstanding": Empowerment Summit 2024 My next stop brings me to Germany: it is my honour to speak alongside my colleague Martin Speer from HERR & SPEER on the stage of the Empowerment Summit by the company Witzenmann close to Karlsruhe on 18 October. You know my stance on "women empowerment": women are already strong - they don't really need empowerment. We just need to recognise and reward typically feminine strengths more in the workplace: empathy, emotional intelligence and kind leadership.
